The Government of Armenia is promoting utilization of solar energy. In 2018 the amount of solar power produced in Armenia increased by nearly 50 per cent. Government figures show that Armenia's solar power average is 60 per cent better than the European average.
Consumers are allowed to install solar panels with total power of up to 150 kW, and may sell any surplus to electricity distribution company Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA). In Armenia, solar thermal collectors, or water-heaters, are produced in standard sizes (1.38-4.12 square meters).
The biggest solar water-heater in Armenia is located at Diana hotel in Goris, which has 1900 vacuum tubes that provide hot water for a swimming pool with 180 cubic meter volume, and for 40 hotel rooms.

In Sierra Leone, mobile services have been the main driver in the telecom sector due to the poor state of the fixed-line infrastructure. This is evident in the launch of a 5G pilot service by Orange Sierra Leone in September 2023.
Telecommunications in Sierra Leone include radio, television, fixed and mobile telephones, and the Internet. Radio is the most-popular and most-trusted media source in Sierra Leone, with 72% of people in the country listening to the radio daily.
There are two national, free terrestrial television stations in Sierra Leone, one run by the government SLBC and the other a private station, AIT (Africa Independent Television) which is linked with the Nigerian station of the same name.
Radio is the most widely accessed broadcast platform in Sierra Leone. Eight out of 10 (81%) Sierra Leoneans have access to radio, and 47% listen to it daily. However, radio listenership is fractured, with no single station able to reach a national audience.
